Doc Forward Workshop Kicks Off Early April

The 3rd edition of Nordisk Panorama’s Doc Forward workshop will kick off in Helsinki, Finland in 10 days. 12 Nordic projects have been selected for this project-driven co-production workshop for emerging Nordic documentary producers and directors.

The workshop facilitates project development for the international market, establishing of contacts with Nordic colleagues, and networking between the participants and the Nordic financiers from film institutes and public broadcasters. We are very much looking forward to working with the teams.

We are in the planning mode for this year’s festival and industry events, and as always our ears are open for input from you, our Nordic community. If you have specific suggestions you would like us to look at, please let us know. Your ideas are always welcome on

Submit Your Films!

You can now submit your finished films to the 2022 edition of Nordisk Panorama Film Festival. Read the regulations and licence agreement and submit via our website. 

Submission Deadline:
Films from 2022: 15 April

The office will be closed for Easter 14-18 April but we will be available to answer any questions you might have before and after these dates. We look forward to seeing your films!

Join the Nordic Delegation to Sheffield DocFest

Names in the News

Independent Producer Jesper Jack has been named International Editor at the New York Times’ documentary platform Op-Docs. He will focus on finding more non-US short docs for the Op-Docs series.

Charlie Phillips, former Head of Video at The Guardian, is joining Sheffield DocFest as Executive Producer – Industry Participation and from May, he will also join immersive learning platform, Lyfta, as its new Head of Stories to commission documentary-style content for students. Lyfta is currently used in schools in the UK and Finland.
