Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries

Sun 18 – Tues 20 Sept 2016

Nordisk Panorama Forum is the annual meeting place and funding event for Nordic documentary professionals, looking to connect with a variety of Nordic and international decision-makers from TV, film institutes and regional film funds.

Featuring pitching sessions and pre-booked individual meetings, Nordisk Panorama Forum offers a professional platform to network and do business in addition to an intensive educational experience for observers and film school students.

More than 300 professionals from 25 countries attended NP Forum 2016. 24 projects pitched in public and more than 20 observer+ projects were presented in individual meetings with decision-makers. Over the course of the two afternoons more than 550 meetings were scheduled between selected projects and decision-makers and even more took place on the spot.

NP Forum 2016 also welcomed a delegation of Eastern European producers, organised by Institute of Documentary Film and three Eastern European projects were part of the official forum selection. We hope that many good connections were made.

The 2016 edition of NP Forum secured a good international representation. International broadcasters represented were SBS Television, CBC Documentary, Czech Television, ARD / ARTE, ARTE France, ARTE G.E.I.E., ZDF ARTE, ARD / MDR, HBO Europe, The Guardian, VPRO and POV / PBS, World Channel, Vimeo, The New York Tmes – Op-Docs along side the Nordic public broadcasters and a good number of international sales agents and distributors. Also present were the Nordic film institutes, many Nordic regional film funds, the BRITDOC Foundation and this year we were happy to welcome MoMA for the first time.

Thank you to all participants for three intensive days of networking, pitching and discussing the selected projects.
