You Can't Show My Face
The sounds of Tehran's streets are transformed into forbidden beats; people sing and young women and men rhyme about their inner feelings. They tell us about a society that rejects them and government-controlled streets but also about a vision of utopia through creativity. Street vendors and pedestrians form an improvised backing choir, making the point that the public space belongs to the public. The narrative is a circular chronology in a single day from dawn to dawn.
