Swedish Stories
Från Sverige i Tiden
The documentary reflects reality as well as help us comprehend it. "Swedish Stories" has contributions by four of Sweden’s most interesting and individual film-makers: Susanna Edwards presents "Risk," about money and competition as an immense, driving power. Nina Hedenius tells us a story about a young upper secondary school pupil and his dreams about the future. "The Homeless," by Stefan Jarl is a tender yet unsettling portrait of homeless people in Stockholm. Jan Troell’s "92.8 MHz...Southside Dreams" is an affectionate story about a local radio station. Together the films create a fascinating mosaic of Swedish welfare society in decay and transformation.
