Shot on the streets and surroundings of Helsinki, the film uncovers the darker side of the Finnish welfare state as we follow Janne, a father of five who ends up homeless following a divorce. The not-so-lucky ones in the nation hailed as the happiest on Earth struggle to survive the freezing cold winter nights. Anchored by the meandering everyday existence of Janne, the film explores the experience of homelessness, while contrasting the protagonist’s inner world and the harsh reality of the streets.
