Rekha dreams of becoming an English teacher. But she is 14, and time is running out to find a husband for her. Although forbidden by law, child marriage is still common in her remote Nepalese village near the Indian border. In the Terai region, more than every second girl is married off underage. Community pressure forces Rekha’s father to search for a husband for his daughter. He is a loving father and wants to find a good man.
