Eleven-year-old Magda is a black metal fan. She is not like the other girls, so when Halloween comes, she has no one to go trick or treating with. She lives with her Polish father and her 16-year-old sister. When her sister goes to an illegal party, Magda is left alone, and has an unfriendly encounter with some girls from school. But during the evening she meets up with Nils Olav, also a metal fan and whom she is in love with. Magda gets the confidence to ignore the pretty girls.
