In 2012, a handful of local people, farmers and landowners, start a movement to prevent the laying of high voltage overhead power line over vast lands of unique natural beauty, from the Blanda hydro plant in northwest Iceland, a distance of 107 Km to the town of Akureyri. As the campaign gains widespread backing with time, it stands to mark a turning-point for nature conservation. An inside story of a battle put up by individuals facing impossible odds, in their opposition to a company which holds a monopoly on electricity distribution – and is accustomed to getting its own way.
