No Ghosts
Engir Draugar
Ruth has recently experienced a great loss. She has the burn marks to prove it, but other wounds run deeper. Her father is ravaged by guilt and unable to communicate with his daughter. He takes her to a birthday party, where he confesses to another adult. Ruth says not a word to the other children and stares at the ghostly balloons decorating the room. The birthday boy asks her to be the seeker in a game of hide and seek. She doesn't answer. The boy takes her silence for consent and all the kids hide.
