Push It
You can’t always win, even though you’re the best. Hedda tries to catch Adam’s eye in every way she can, but it turns out wrong. She doesn’t fit the stereotype of a teenage girl. She is stronger and cleverer than the boys. But she lets Adam break all the rules, and when he looks at her, she feels she is worth something. How do you fit grown-up feelings into a teenage body? How do you get close to someone and keep your integrity, in a society with all these invisible rules? The film explores structures, physicality, identity and emotions. The gym hall is the arena.
