A Turkish man, Cengiz, and his 26-year-old half-Finnish daughter Melisa live in Finland. Their symbiotic relationship deteriorates when Melisa moves to Turkey for a life of her own. Cengiz cannot accept this, and Melisa cuts off contact. So after years of shunning Turkey and his own domineering mother, Cengiz travels to Istanbul to meet Melisa, his mother and Melisa's Turkish boyfriend. A documentary and tragicomic separation story depicting the use of power on many levels and about a loved and hated father figure. A story about rebellion, growing up, and letting go.
