Two New York subway people: John Diresta is a N YPD cop working in the subway, hating his job. Last year, he was elected the Funniest Police Officer in New York, but he has greater ambitions as a stand-up comedian. Jerry Howards is homeless. He lives in the tunnel between 2nd Avenue and East Broadway, and has not seen his family for five years. They live in Queens, but he doesn't dare visit them.
