Documentary

Cecilia Lidin

With a background in film studies at the University of Copenhagen finalized with a thesis on the ethical dilemmas of documentary filmmaking, Cecilia Lidin has for the past 25+ years worked with the development and financing of documentaries in different capacities.

As loans officer in the first MEDIA programmes office DOCUMENTARY, followed by promoting Nordic shorts and documentaries at Filmkontakt Nord -and at the European Documentary Network responsible for the development of numerous international co-production workshops, and working as tutor as well as moderator for both internal and external pitching events. Between 2006 and 2009 Cecilia Lidin was the Artistic Director of Odense International film Festival.

In 2009, Cecilia Lidin took over as Head of EDN together with Hanne Skjødt, a position she held until she left to become Film Commissioner for Documentaries at the Swedish Film Institute in 2011. After finalizing this position she was in 2015 appointed as Film Commissioner for Documentaries at the Danish Film Institute, a position she held till 2020. At present Cecilia Lidin holds a position as head of the Education of documentary directors at the Danish Film School and works as freelance consultant, moderator and programmer.

Manolo Diaz Rämö

Manolo Diaz Rämö has a bachelor’s degree in Documentary film from Stockholm University of the Arts. He works as a producer, director and scriptwriter at the Malmö based production company Filmilia AB, which he co-founded. In his films he often explores a sense of longing for something unreachable, in the past or the future, usually connected to migration. His films have been nominated for numerous awards and festivals and broadcasted at Swedish Television.

Short Film

Lucile Bourliaud

Lucile Bourliaud is a film programmer with a particular interest in short films and animation. Since 2013, she has collaborated with many international festivals, in France (Lille International Short Film Festival, Brest European Short Film Festival), Canada (Regard Festival), and the UK (Flatpack Festival). She joined the Nordisk Panorama team in 2020.

Sam Groves

Sam Groves is the Head of Programme for one of the UK’s key cultural happenings, the Flatpack Festival in Birmingham, where he has been programming since 2011. Prior to that Sam founded KINO 10, a peripatetic short film exhibition company, and was the film programmer for the UK’s largest free arts festival Artsfest. Specialising in programming shorts, animation, experimental, live cinema, and AV performances, Sam has curated work all over the world including Germany, Estonia, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Sam is also an Artist Adviser for Jerwood in the UK.

Young Nordic

Susanne Månsson Kandell

Susanne Månsson Kandell, from the City of Malmö’s Culture Department, has the role of arranging film screenings for children and youth, in cinemas or as digital events, as a part of the cultural program offered to schools in Malmö. She graduated from the Danish Film School as a tv-producer and has a background of arranging workshops for students and teachers in filmmaking, as well as working in television and film as a production manager and producer in both Sweden and Denmark.

Daniel Lundquist

Daniel Lundquist graduated in arts administration in 2001. For several years he worked in various positions at the Swedish Film Institute and at the City of Malmö Culture Department. In 2009 he started working with BUFF Malmö Film Festival, the international film festival for children and young people in Malmö, Sweden. Since 2012 he is the Head of Programming at BUFF. BUFF was founded in 1984 and is a non-profit organization. The aim was, and still is, to screen good films for children and young people as well as for adults. In the cinema we get to meet different cultures, hear foreign languages and tag along on endless adventures. The festival is today an important meeting place for everyone working with children, young people and moving images.
