The mission of the festival is “to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience.” The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan.

The annual meeting for professionals and audience alike that takes place in the city of Barcelona.DocsBarcelona is compound of the Festival and the Pitching Forum.The Pitching Forum has been since 1997 the area for the professionals. During two days 24 projects are presented to a panel of commissioning editors. The Festival was born in 2007 screening more than 30 documentaries each year always introduced by their directors.

PÖFF Shorts (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival)
Started in 1997, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has grown into one of the biggest film festivals in Northern Europe and busiest regional industry platforms, hosting more than 1000 guests and industry delegates and over 160 journalists. The festival screens around 250 features and more than 300 shorts and animations and sees an attendance of 80 000 people annually. As of 2014 the festival holds the FIAPF accreditation for holding an international competition programme which puts the festival into the so- called A-category of film festivals, alongside other 14 festivals in the world.

Tampere Film Festival
Tampere Film Festival is an independent short film festival with an international and national competition. Basic structure of the programme is compiled of special screenings and the competitions: International, National and Micromovies Competition. The competitions are open and free for all who want to submit a film for the preview. Admitted are all films and videos of all genres not exceeding a length of 30 minutes. Films must have been completed on January 1st, 2001 or after. Films which have been shown or awarded at other international film festivals are allowed to compete.

DokuFest
DokuFest, International Documentary and Short Film Festival, is the largest film festival in Kosovo. Each year the festival fills the cinemas and improvised screening venues around historic center of Prizren with a selection of more than 200 hand-picked films from around the world. Founded in 2002, with the aim of revitalizing cinema and the cultural life in Prizren, DokuFest grew and expanded into the most important documentary and short film festival in Southeast Europe and from 2019 is a BAFTA qualifying festival for short films. Documentary photo exhibitions, debates, master classes and lively music events are all part of the 9 days of the festival.

One World – International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival
the largest human rights film festival in the world that attracts more than 100,000 viewers annually. One World presents documentary films on social, political, media, environmental and human rights issues and believes that film is a powerful medium that fosters mutual understanding between cultures, heightens public awareness about human rights and promotes global responsibility. One World also offers numerous debates, screenings for elementary and high schools, special program for film professionals called East Doc Platform (organized by Institute of Documentary Film), new media and cross platform events, as well as outreach activities for active public including distribution of documentary films and assistance to emerging film festivals abroad.
